Special Needs Education Policy:
ARC Academy is committed to providing a nurturing, Christ-centered educational environment. In keeping with our mission, we recognize the importance of addressing the diverse learning needs of students, including those with identified learning differences or special needs. The school may provide reasonable accommodations to meet individual learning needs, including modifications to curriculum, instructional strategies, or classroom environment. Parents/guardians are encouraged to provide relevant educational or medical documentation to assist the school in understanding and supporting the student’s needs. Accommodations will be provided to the extent that they are feasible within the school’s staffing, resources, and mission. ARC Academy is not required to provide services mandated in public school law, including federally mandated special education services or individualized education plans (IEPs). If a student’s needs exceed the school’s capacity to provide appropriate accommodations, the school may explore alternative educational solutions or recommend other resources to meet the student’s needs. Acceptance and continued enrollment at ARC Academy is based on the student’s alignment with the school’s Christian mission, values, and educational philosophy. While the school seeks to support students with diverse learning needs, enrollment and accommodations may be limited by the school’s ability to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. ARC Academy staff will maintain ongoing communication with families regarding student progress, accommodations, and emerging needs, ensuring that each student receives appropriate support consistent with the school’s mission.
